I was recently invited to an event at the W Hotel on South Beach that highlighted everything with California grapes. Also, Chef Lorena Garcia from “Top Chef All Stars” was there to show us how to make some recipes using California grapes. How do I pass up that opportunity? I LOVE grapes!
There were yummy foods that highlighted this little yummy fruit, but what I got out of the evening was the cocktail! My favorite was the Dark Grape Margarita….YUM!
Thirsty Thursday ~ Dark Grape Margarita
Ingredients
- 1 cup black California seedless grapes
- 2 shots (3 oz) tequila
- 2 shots (3 oz) Sweet & Sour mix
- 2 cups ice
- Limes for garnish
Preparations
- Place all ingredients into the bowl of a good blender and puree until blended and slushy, about 2 minutes.
- Serve in margarita glasses and garnish with a lime.
- Optional: Coat glass rim with salt.
